The City of Weston will be holding a Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics Collection Event on Sunday, May 16 at The Weston Public Works Services Center located on South Post Road between Manatee Isle Drive and Saddle Club Road.   This is a free event and will be held between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) refers to used or leftover contents of consumer products that contain chemicals with one of the four characteristics: Toxic, Ignitable, Corrosive, or Reactive as defined by the Environmental Protection Agency.  Below are examples of items that are being collected:

Hazardous Waste:  Oil and/or latex paints and thinners, used motor oil, auto fluids, gasoline solvents, Pesticides, fertilizers, pool chemicals, drain cleaners, tires, and automobile batteries.

Electronics:  computers and televisions
